- The role of the immune system in the inflammation process and in allergic and autoimmune diseases;
- Inflammatory cells (macrophages, Tcells, B-cells, eosinophils. neutrophils) and mediators (cytokine and chemokines) in the immune response,
- Mechanisms of apoptosis. The role of interactions between dendritic cells (DC) and T-lymphocytes in the maintenance and destroyment of the mechanisms of apoptosis and tolerance (oral and systemic).
- Mucosal immunity: immuno - epithelial interactions in the mucosal tissue.
- The role of mucosal immunity in maintenance and disturbance of oral and systemic tolerance and in the development allergic disease.
